Hey guys!

This is a bit of a break-away from the norm, but today I’m posting to spread the message about a certain new campaign that a small group of teenagers, including myself, are starting. The campaign is called ‘Share-a-Smile’ and it starts this week. Its a simple campaign with its sole purpose being to spread happiness and make the average persons day just a little bit brighter, because lets face it; we all deserve a break from the everyday stress and monotony of the world, and sometimes all it takes to make a person smile and brighten up their day is to give them a kind gesture. It can be anything from a smile to a helping hand and even the smallest gesture can make a big difference to a persons day.

This week we will be outside, in Woking, actively participating in our campaign to spread the message and the purpose. Wearing orange t-shirts, we will be handing out special business cards, flowers, origami, wrist-bands and stickers to spread the message about our campaign and raise awareness. We will also be handing out compliments, smiles, free-hugs and basically a whole variety of kind and cheerful gestures to make you smile and bring some joy to your average day. Our aim is to spread the message and the purpose of the ‘Share-a-Smile’ campaign, which is to spread happiness through encouraging people to do the same as us and brighten the day of a stranger in any way they wish.

If you want to get involved its easy! There are a number of simple, yet important ways to join in with our campaign:

  • Spread the message - tell your friends and family, go onto twitter, face-book or even tumblr and share our hashtag; ‘#ShareASmile’.
  • Participate - leave special compliments in hidden places, make a stranger smile, do something special for someone you know, post about your own experiences, talk about the campaign. Just remember to reference the campaign, either through our hashtag or our name.
  • post pictures - Show examples of your own participation and encourage others to join in!

These are only three examples of how you can join in, but any method of contributing either to the purpose of the campaign or simply spreading the message and keeping it alive is important and we are hugely grateful for any help and support we receive. If you can think of other ways to participate that have not been mentioned, then go right ahead! All we ask is that you make some reference to our campaign ‘Share-A-Smile’ so that people know who we are, what we are doing and why. :)

On a side-note, I feel it is important to mention that this is a non-profit campaign. We are not seeking to raise money, merely to spread happiness and raise awareness towards the necessity of spreading happiness and making a difference in such a small, but no less significant way. We cant help everyone, but that doesn’t make our cause any less important. ‘Share-a-Smile’ begins in Woking, but we hope to spread it further. :)

Please reblog this to spread the message!
(We can be found on Twitter, Tumblr, Face-book, Goodreads and BlogSpot. Our hashtag is #ShareASmile.)

Thank you,

Vyanni Krace. :)

Okay, since I have yet to figure out how the heck to upload my poetry/literature materials into my gallery, I will be submitting them as Journal entries.

So yeah.

This is a poemy-thing I wrote when I was actually trying to write more details for my book I have just started writing/developing.

Songbird.
Pretty little bird in your golden cage,
Sing me a song I say, to push the night away,
It's cold this night, and the wind is here to stay,
Please sing for me pretty bird, resting in your cage,
I know that you are tired, and I will leave you to your rest,
Just sing for me little bird, sing for me then rest,

Pretty songbird silent in your cage,
Why not sing your song today, sing for me 'till night,
I am lonely today, and the day has gone quiet,
Please sing little songbird, silent in your cage,
I know you wish for silence, but let your song be free,
Sing for me songbird, then you will have your peace,

Pretty little bird, why won't you sing today,
I have yet to hear your tune, please sing for me I pray,
If the wind is cold I will keep you warm,
If you want to rest I will let you sleep,
Just sing for me today,

The sad lonely man continues to request,
Through the day and through the night,
One simple little wish, for a pretty little song,
Sung from his pretty little songbird,

The lonely man never stops asking,
Never once realising the sad, clear truth,
That his pretty little songbird has been singing all along.
